We believe that you should get to know the people you see week in and week out at church. We encourage you to pick a class or a ministry and get involved! Whether it's joining the choir, committing to a Sunday School class, or volunteering in Kids Ministry, taking that next step of getting involved and serving not only helps others around you, but helps you and your family grow in community.

We have classes that meet every week for toddlers all the way up to senior adults. Browse through and pick somewhere to get involved!

Salem Heights Nursery & Preschool classes are committed to providing a loving atmosphere with responsible, safe, and healthy child care for ages 0-5 (pre-kindergarten).

We welcome all 0-5 year old children into the Nursery and Preschool area. By dropping your kids off in the Nursery and Preschool area, you are free to attend Sunday School classes and main worship services.

The Facilities:

One suite of two separate rooms provides age appropriate environments for newborns and infants.  One side includes a crawler area, swings, saucers and a variety of age appropriate toys.  There is also a separate sleeping area with monitor.  A private room is available for nursing mothers.

The other side has separate rooms for toddlers through age five. Each room has age appropriate books, music and toys.

All rooms have diaper changing facilities.

First time Guests and Members:

Label your child's diaper bag, bottle(s), pacifiers, and cups.  Our rooms are supplied with wipes, but we ask that you include your own, with an ample supply of diapers, in your diaper bag.

We have pagers available for you to take into the service if there is a need.

Health and Hygiene

Each week the nursery is cleaned and sanitized for the children's protection.  After each service any "mouthed" toys are placed in a dirty toy bin and are properly sanitized.  All used linens are placed in the laundry bin.

It is part of our policy that children with fever or anything considered contagious not be brought to the nursery in order to reduce exposure to the other children.

Security

Our nursery provides a very safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children.  No one under the age of 18 is left to care for any child in our care, not even their siblings.  Only the parent/ guardian who checked in the child is allowed to pick up the child, unless informed otherwise.  No one under the age of 18 is allowed to pick up a child (not even siblings).

SHBC Kids is where kids have fun and learn about Jesus on their level!

SHBC Kids is our children's ministry that focuses on our next generation, realizing each child is special and wonderfully made for a purpose. The purpose of our children's ministry is to teach the truth to our children so they can hide God's Word in their heart where they will keep it always. We offer a safe, loving, and fun place to come hear the Good News!

You and your family are invited to come check out our Kids space and activities. On Sunday mornings we have a children's assembly and different classes for each age group that start at 9:00am. The Children's area is located in the Family Life Center. You can follow our SHBC Kids Facebook Page to stay up to date with all SHBC Kids news!

"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another especially now that the day of his return in drawing near." Hebrews 23-25

Just like SHBC Kids and Heights Students, we have specific classes and groups available for adults in all seasons of life. We want to offer everyone in our church the opportunity to serve by using his or her talents for the Lord through singing, playing an instrument, and special productions. On Sunday mornings the choir leads out in congregational worship and you're invited to join in with us! We also prepare special holiday productions a few times a year that are always moving and inspirational.

If you would like to join the choir please join us on Sunday evenings at Choir Rehearsal, but let us know you're coming! If you're interested in joining the choir or just want some more information, start by clicking here to email our Music Minister, Eric Benson.

Alongside our choir is our lively orchestra. We have a wide variety of orchestral instruments accompanying the choir and the congregation on Sunday services. If you would like to audition for the orchestra, click here to to set up an audition time.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

We've partnered with Kendrick Ministries in the country of El Salvador for over 20 years! Each year we participate in clothing drives and send overseas shipping containers packed full of Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes for the kids all across the country! We also organize mission trips for people to physically go be apart of what God is doing through Kendrick Ministries in El Salvador.
